Thanks to the present sources of income, regrettable as they may both indeed be, represented by her COVID stimulus check and present rent withholding, this poet finds herself able to buy coffee at the local coffee shop.
Although it is serving only through its drive up window, once the poet endures the social embarrassment of walking up to that window to make her purchase instead…
Their public WiFi reaches the parking lot.
That means — if she’s willing to both face down the additionally unusual behavior of hanging out there without a car but with her phone, and to add the two miles there and back to those she’s already putting in for all her other life errands…
She can upload voice recorded poetry, previously spoken in-room, to the web for link sharing to her readers.
It’s a cumbersome system, but then much of the poet’s present life is spent devoted to similarly cumbersome systems by which she preserves viability in every other aspect of her life — health, housing and self supply of all sorts.
If it gets the job done, she’s willing.
