Not a week after being thanked for her bus conversation by a young man who pulled over an SUV to do so, today, while waiting streetside to connect with what may potentially be her next place of residence, the poet was once again hailed by a lovely young lady in a car pulled up for that purpose into the lot just behind her.
”Excuse me,” she said, just as had the other, “I don’t know if you remember me…”
For this sunny spirit, it turned out, the poet had written and published her appreciation in verse for the young lady’s kindness and good cheer at a public counter months before, and taken the trouble both to bring it to the attention of her immediate supervisor and forward to her corporation’s administrative offices.
She was so appreciative.
“I shared it with all my friends — everyone I know — it did so much for me…”
Really, it’s true — isn’t it — that one moment like that can make up for quiiiite a few others, all at once — eh?
