This Group Helps Struggling Restaurants Stay Afloat By Feeding Frontline Workers

*****

The young adults who founded Feed the Front Line wanted to find a way to help people in their community who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. They accomplished their goal by devising a way to donate food to frontline workers while also saving struggling restaurants. The group raised money, which they then used to buy meals from local businesses that were near the point of shutting down for good amid the lockdown, and then delivered them to frontline workers at area hospitals. At one point, the organization delivered 2500 meals in 24 hours. As one restaurant owner says, “It’s like a blessing from the sky; it came when we most needed it.”
